Explanations:Mrugavani National Park is a protected area located in the state of Telangana, India. The term "Mrugavani" translates to "Forest of Animals" in Sanskrit, reflecting the rich biodiversity of the region. This national park is situated in the Nalgonda district and covers an area of approximately 100 square kilometers. It is home to a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, hyenas, and numerous species of birds and reptiles.
The establishment of Mrugavani National Park is significant for the conservation of the local ecosystem and the preservation of wildlife. It serves as a crucial habitat for many endangered species and plays a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance of the region. The park is also an important site for research and education, providing opportunities for students and researchers to study the flora and fauna of the area.
Understanding the geographical distribution of national parks is essential for various competitive examinations, particularly those related to general knowledge and geography. In the context of Telangana, Mrugavani National Park is a notable landmark that reflects the state's commitment to environmental conservation and biodiversity.
It is important to distinguish Mrugavani National Park from other national parks located in different states. For instance, Silent Valley National Park is located in Kerala and is known for its tropical evergreen forests, while Bandipur National Park is situated in Karnataka and is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. These parks, while significant in their own right, are not located in Telangana.
Therefore, when asked about the National Park located in Telangana, the correct answer is Mrugavani National Park. This knowledge is crucial for students preparing for competitive exams that test their understanding of geographical and environmental landmarks in India.
