Explanations:The Lake Palace, also known as Jag Niwas, is a historical and architectural marvel located in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is situated on the Lake Pichola, which is one of the most famous lakes in Udaipur. The palace was built in the 18th century by Maharana Jagat Singh II as a pleasure palace and is now a luxury hotel managed by the Taj Hotels group.
Udaipur, often referred to as the "City of Lakes," is known for its numerous lakes, including Lake Pichola, Fatehsagar, and Udai Sagar. Among these, Lake Pichola is the most prominent and is a significant tourist attraction. The lake was created in 1362 by Banjara, a local chieftain, and was later expanded by Maharana Udai Singh II, the founder of Udaipur.
The Lake Palace is a prime example of Rajput architecture, characterized by intricate carvings, ornate domes, and expansive courtyards. The palace is built entirely on the lake, accessible only by boat, which adds to its charm and allure. The palace is surrounded by the serene waters of Lake Pichola, which provides a picturesque backdrop and enhances the overall beauty of the structure.
It is important to note that while Udaipur has several lakes, the Lake Palace is specifically located on Lake Pichola. Other lakes in the region, such as Pulicat Lake in Tamil Nadu or Indira Sagar Lake in Madhya Pradesh, are not related to the Lake Palace in Udaipur. Therefore, the correct answer is that the Lake Palace is located on Lake Pichola.
